We form, reinforce, pour and finish patios in broom, brush and exposed aggregate finishes, plus stamped and stained work. Every pour gets jointed, edged and cured, and every job gets a rebar or mesh layout before a single yard of concrete arrives.

Broom finish is the standard and there is nothing wrong with it: it is durable, slip resistant and the least expensive. Brush and salt finishes add texture at a modest cost. Exposed aggregate exposes the stone in the mix for a rougher, more traditional look that hides dirt well. Stamped concrete presses a pattern into the slab to imitate stone or plank, and stained concrete adds color to any of the above.
Decorative finishes cost more up front but far less than replacing a slab. If your existing patio is structurally sound and just looks dated, resurfacing or staining it is often the smarter money. If it has a crack that moves, no finish will hide that for long, and we will say so instead of selling you a coating over a problem.

Four inches is standard for foot traffic and patio furniture. We go thicker where the slab will carry weight, like a spa pad or an outdoor kitchen island. Thickness is one of the easiest places for a cheap bid to save money at your expense.
Concrete moves, and in North Texas clay soil it moves more than most places. That is what control joints are for: they give the slab a planned place to crack, below the surface, where you never see it. A slab with no joints or joints cut too far apart is the one that cracks visibly.
Usually the next day for foot traffic, and about a week before you put heavy furniture on it. We tell you the exact timing when we finish, because it depends on the weather that week.
