The three materials we install most are concrete pavers, porcelain and travertine. Concrete pavers are the workhorse: the widest range of colors and shapes, the lowest cost, and strong enough for a driveway. Porcelain is the newer option and the one most requested in the neighborhoods north of North Texas — it stays cooler underfoot, does not stain, and holds a crisp modern edge, but it costs more and demands a flatter, more exacting base. Travertine sits in between, with a natural look and a surface that stays comfortable barefoot around a pool.
Pattern changes the price as much as material does. A running bond or stack bond cuts fast with little waste. Herringbone and any diagonal layout are stronger under vehicle traffic but generate far more cutting, which is labor. Turf joints between large-format slabs, the look in most of our recent photos, need precise spacing because every joint is visible from every angle. We will tell you which pattern fits your budget instead of quoting one number and hoping.

Most residential paver patios take three to five working days from excavation to final compaction. Larger driveways or projects with drainage work take longer, and we give you the schedule in writing before we start.
Properly installed pavers do not. Sinking comes from a base that was too thin or never compacted. We excavate to depth and compact the base in layers, which is the part that costs money and the part cheap bids leave out.
Pavers cost more up front but individual stones can be lifted and reset if something settles or a utility needs to be reached. Poured concrete is less expensive and faster, but a crack is a repair, not a reset. Both work well in North Texas when the base is right.
