A Driveway Built for Trucks, Not Just Cars

A driveway carries more weight than anything else on your property, and around here it does it on soil that swells and shrinks with the weather. Thickness, reinforcement and joint spacing are not the places to save money.

We handle full tear-out and haul-off, subgrade prep, forming, reinforcing and the pour, including the approach where the driveway meets the street. Where the city requires a permit for work in the right of way, we tell you before we start rather than after.

Why choose a driveway from ProBuild?

Driveways carry more load than any other slab on the property. Thickness, rebar and base are non-negotiable, and the approach at the street has to meet the city's standard.

Thickness

Sized to the use, not to the lowest bid

Haul-off

Old concrete removed and hauled, not left on your lawn

Cure

We tell you exactly when you can drive on it

Written warranty

Workmanship warranty in the contract, on top of the manufacturer warranties on materials.

What we handle

  • Full driveway replacement
  • Driveway extensions and widening
  • Approaches and aprons
  • Ribbon and parking pads
  • RV and boat pads
  • Crack and section repair
  • Old concrete tear-out and haul-off
  • Broom and exposed aggregate finish

Replace, extend or resurface

Concrete or pavers

Not every tired driveway needs to come out. If the slab is sound and the cracking is cosmetic, resurfacing or an overlay can buy years at a fraction of replacement cost. If sections have settled at different heights, or a crack has opened wide enough to catch a shoe, the subgrade has moved and no surface treatment will hold. That is a replacement.

Thickness, rebar and the approach

Widening is the middle path and a common request on older North Texas and Richardson lots where a two-car driveway no longer fits three vehicles. The seam between old and new concrete will always be visible, so widening makes sense when the existing slab has life left in it. When it does not, pouring new next to old just puts a new section beside one that is about to fail.

Our Process

Step 1

Walkthrough

We walk the property with you, measure, and talk through how you actually want to use the space. Free, no pressure.

Step 2

3D Design

We recreate your yard in 3D and show you the finished space, with materials picked from real samples, plus an itemized written price.

Step 3

Permits & HOA

We pull city permits and prepare your HOA packet, then give you a start date and keep it.

Step 4

Construction

Our own crews build it. Forms pulled, debris hauled, site swept — your neighbors only know we were there by the finished work.

Frequently Asked Questions

Question 1How long before I can park on a new driveway?

Plan on seven days before you drive a car on it and closer to fourteen for anything heavy like an RV or a loaded truck. Driving on it early is the single most common way a new driveway gets damaged.

Question 2Do I need a permit to replace my driveway?

The driveway itself usually does not require one, but the approach where it crosses the sidewalk and meets the street is city right of way, and most cities around North Texas require a permit for that portion. We check for your address before we quote.

Question 3Can you widen my existing driveway instead of replacing it?

Often yes. Widening is a good option when the existing slab is sound. The seam between old and new concrete will always be visible, so if the existing driveway is already cracking it usually makes more sense to replace the whole thing.

Question 4Do you pull the permits?

Yes. We handle city permits and inspections for covered patios, pergolas, electrical and gas work across Rockwall, Royse City, Fate, Heath, Rowlett, Wylie, Forney, Garland, Dallas and the surrounding municipalities, and we prepare HOA submittal packets using your 3D design. Permit costs are a line item in your estimate.

Question 5Is there a warranty?

Yes. A written workmanship warranty on every project, on top of the manufacturer warranties on pavers, turf, aluminum and materials. The terms are in your contract, not buried somewhere.
