The order of operations on an outdoor kitchen is unforgiving. Gas, water, drain and electrical all have to be roughed in before the frame goes up, and the frame has to be built to the exact cutout dimensions of the appliances you chose. Change an appliance after the veneer is on and you are rebuilding, not adjusting.
Counter material and veneer are where the budget flexes. Granite and quartzite handle Texas sun without fading. Concrete counters cost less and can be cast to any shape but need sealing. For the base, stone and brick veneer match most houses here, while stucco costs less and gives a cleaner modern look. We lay the whole thing out in tape on your patio before anything is ordered so you can stand in it first.
